Former University of Michigan basketball captain David Merritt kicks off clothing line
For eight months, David Merritt held his tongue.
As much as the former University of Michigan basketball captain wanted to let friends and well-wishers in on the details on his new apparel company, he kept them secret until now.
Merritt introduced his new company, I Miss You, Inc., at midnight Wednesday with this video that details his company's product and mission.
"Our shirts are an outside representation of inside beliefs, inside feelings, inside values - so it's from the inside out," Merritt said in the video. "We're just not selling a shirt. This is a challenge."
The video features cameo appearances by Michigan basketball coach John Beilein and Arizona Cardinals receiver Steve Breaston. It is the first step in Merritt's company launch.
The company will launch officially Sept. 4 at a reception at the Michigan League Ballroom.

Very, very nice. I would say this exudes class, but that isn't really nearly enough to describe how great it is that Merritt has chosen to spread such a positive message in such a non-threatening way. I hope he becomes a giant, because if he does, a lot of people will benefit from it.
