Former Wolverines receiver may have gotten a new start with a trade to the New York Jets earlier this month. He still has some unfinished business back in Cleveland.

On Monday, he was charged with misdemeanor assault. The charges stemmed from an Oct. 5 incident when he allegedly punched a Cleveland-area nightclub promoter who is friends with NBA star LeBron James.

Edwards' attorney told the Cleveland Plain Dealer that he would plead not guilty to the charges.

The New York Jets knew they were taking a risk when they acquired Edwards two days after the alleged incident, and the risk became more tangible Monday. But the team is not concerned, according to the New York Daily News.

Little man must of had Napoleon syndrome. Why is it that these tiny men want to antagonize these big men? A toy poodle going after a pit bull and when he gets socked he whines like a whittle baby.
