Former Chelsea High School running back Nick Hill led all rushers at the Michigan State spring game on Saturday, gaining 95 yards on 19 carries.
The rest of the Spartans' roster combined for 18 carries for negative-44 rushing yards, which includes 32 yards lost on sacks.

Hill, who saw action on both teams in the annual Green vs. White game, scored on a 32-yard run for the White team, which won 14-2. He also had a hand in the scoring for the Green team, which earned a safety when William Gholston tackled Hill in the end zone.
Hill told reporters the performance enabled him to show coaches he could carry the load.
"I can play a full game, be an every-down back," Hill said.
Huron High School graduate Andrew Gleichert also contributed one catch for 20 yards for the White team.

It was a pleasure to know Nick here in Chelsea. He is an excellent man who will do a great job at State. It's also nice to see him at the running back position vs only punt returns. Thank you for this article ! D
