The highest-paid player in terms of average salary in the NFL now is former Michigan quarterback Tom Brady, who agreed to a four-year extension with the New England Patriots.
Brady, according to sources, has a deal worth $72 million with $48.5 million guaranteed.
Not a bad day, considering Brady, 33, was involved in a two-car accident earlier in the day. He wasn't injured.
In Green Bay, former Michigan star and Heisman Trophy winner Charles Woodson agreed to a two-year extension and is signed through 2014.
"I expressed to my agent on this end that this is where I want to be," Woodson told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. "Let's see if we can put something together and try to put a deal together that would end it here. Right now, this probably will be the last one."
