Eastern Michigan volleyball player Rachel Iaquaniello was named a first-team Senior CLASS Award All-American Thursday. The award honors excellence in the classroom, community, character and competition.

Iaquaniello set EMU career records for kills (1,949) and attack attempts (5,755) this season. She led the Mid-American Conference in kills this season, with 4.40 per set, and was the MAC West Offensive Player of the Week three times.

She also boasts a 3.86 grade point average as an exercise science major.

Senior Class All-Americans are selected by a vote of coaches, media and fans. The other four first-team members came from Oregon, Kentucky, Nebraska and Purdue.
