Eastern Michigan senior tight end Garrett Hoskins was named the John Mackey Tight End of the Week on Wednesday, given to the nation's top tight end.

Hoskins had seven receptions for a career-high 158 yards and a touchdown in Eastern Michigan's 48-38 win over Army on Saturday.

It is the first time in Hoskins' career that he has won the award, given by the Nassau County Sports Commission. He is the first Eagles player to receive the honor since Ben Thayer in 2010.

On the year, Hoskins leads the Eagles in receptions (30), receiving yards (469) and receiving touchdowns (3).
