Eastern Michigan invites fans to vote for which uniform the football team will wear on Oct. 13
Eastern Michigan will be changing up its look for a home game against Toledo on Oct. 13.
And it wants Eagle fans to decide what that look will be.
EMU is asking fans to vote on which helmet, jersey and pants combination the team will wear during the game. In addition, the school will be awarding a replica helmet to one voting participant.
The pant options include green, white or gray -- all three with a block "E" placed on the left hip.
As for the helmets, fans can decide between traditional green with a block "E," matte gray helmets with a green "E" or matte white helmets with a green "E."
Fan voting will run until Friday, Aug. 31 and the winning combination will be announced prior to kickoff of the Oct. 13 game.
Fan voting will take place on EMU's official athletic Facebook page, on Twitter and at EMUEagles.com.

So, they want fans to have a say for the uniforms. Why didn't they do what the fans wanted when they changed the name?

Been done --- early in the 1990s when they became the Eagles EMU had a Philly Eagle style uniform ... was not popular -- of course they have changed uniforms and helmets so many times since the 1980s its hard to actually pick one that defines the team; thus the lack of identity but picking a one-time uniform for a game is a fun thing and its all the rage these days so lets have fun with it of course, they should pick a permanent uniform/hemlet and stick with it for more than 2 years (in my humble opinion)
