Make it three in a row for the Eastern Michigan University baseball team over Michigan.
Center fielder Bo Kinder was 3-for-5 and scored four runs, and the Eagles scored five runs in the fourth inning to beat the Wolverines 12-2 on Wednesday at Oestrike Field.
The Eagles (9-15) jumped out to a 2-0 lead after the first inning, and extended the lead to 10-0 after the fifth inning.
The Wolverines (12-13) scored their first run in the top of the seventh when left fielder Will Drake drove in Patrick Biondi. Drake also drove in shortstop Dylan Delaney in the top of the ninth to round out Michigan's scoring.
Collin Taylor earned the victory for Eastern Michigan, allowing one hit with four strikeouts in 2 1/3 innings. Jordan Glover allowed three hits with four strikeouts in 3 2/3 innings.
Michigan freshman and Huron High School graduate James Bourque allowed four earned runs on four hits in 3 1/3 innings to take the loss for the Wolverines, whose three-game winning streak was snapped.

Maybe Coach Hoke could give some pointers to the baseball team. Bo did it for the basketball team and we won a National Championship.

Way to play, Eagles. It was a fun game to listen to on Eagle radio. Sorry it didn't make a front page story on AnnArbor.com like other UM sport stories. Go Eagles!

Typically, Michigan has sent out some of their younger pitchers for non-conference games; saving the better arms for the conference schedule. Since the Big Ten is not that good, you basically have to win the Big Ten to get into the NCAA Tournament. Kids from warm weather states don't want to play here. Congrats to EMU.

geesh...Michigan can't seem to win against EMU whether it's Woman's hoops or Men's baseball. Are we sure this is the major university dwarfing the minor university or vice-versa?
