Chelsea swimmers come back to beat Skyline, lose to Saline
The Chelsea High School swimming and diving team hoisted its novelty-sized dog bone and grunted as the final team scores were announced. They raised their hands high and barked, their cheers echoing off the walls of Cameron Pool.
Not exactly a common reaction by a team that had just lost by nearly 80 points.
True, the Bulldogs had just lost to Saline 140-46, but their cheers were for the successful completion of their 96-87 comeback win over Skyline at the Southeastern Conference tri-meet.
After falling behind early in the meet, Chelsea was able to finish first and third against Skyline in the 200 yard freestyle relay despite resting some of its swimmers in the event to take the lead for good in their meet with the Eagles. (Rest of the Story | Results)
