Brady Hoke, Michigan football targeting lineman in recruiting; National writers have U-M out, MSU in NCAA Tournament and more
The number of high school football recruits who list scholarship offers from Michigan is over 100, according to Josh Helmholdt in an article for the Detroit Free Press.
And Helmholdt reports that Brady Hoke and his staff are especially targeting lineman.
He writes, "Michigan returns just 10 on-scholarship offensive lineman in 2012 -- barely enough to fill a two-deep depth chart. Four will be seniors. The need is even more acute on the defensive line, with just three scholarship tackles and seven scholarship ends on pace to have eligibility in 2012."

I used to think that the effects for the MCC would wear off in time, but now it is painfully clear that therapy and strong meds are in order. Best of luck to you gentlemen of the MCC.

Ed if you listened at all to RR he clearly said the cupboard was bare. He surely did his part to keep that cupboard bare. The only way to win in the Big 10 is to have 5'7" 165 lbs speedsters!! At least that was RR philosophy, lets out run them and out score them. Well that worked against Div 2 pretty well.

I can't wait to hear from the MCC crowd how it's Lloyd Carr's fault that we will have only 10 scholarship linemen returning to the team in 2012. Good Night and Good Luck

Weiss backers at ND were still blaming Ty Willingham for Weiss' poor coaching 5 years after Willingham was already gone. It only makes sense that backers of UM's worst coach would still blame one of our best, considering Lloyd's only been gone 3 years, not 5. Right?

We all love Michigan. But do we all really love the Citrus Bowl THAT much? Progress is for forward thinkers. Comes a time in each man's life, To deal with trouble, to deal with strife. We shan't back down, we shan't play dead, We'll wing and zing, we'll run The Spread. We'll hide behind no grassy knoll, And shun the backwards Citrus Bowl. CoB! Remember, kids, one gets to one's destination by not re-tracing one's steps, but by courageously embarking into the unknown. As your President, it was important (and proper) for me to enlighten you.
