Boston College leading scorer Joe Trapani's status for Michigan will be gameday decision

By Michael Rothstein

Boston College might be without its leading scorer when it faces Michigan in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge on Wednesday.

Eagles coach Al Skinner said junior forward Joe Trapani was in bed again Monday with flu-like symptoms, which have bothered the Madison, Conn. native for a week. Skinner said he's hopeful Trapani would be available.

"I'm hoping that he will be," Skinner said by phone Monday night. "He's been under the weather. He was sick last week before we played Providence and he's back in bed today."

The 6-foot-8 Trapani has started all six games for Boston College (4-2) and has averaged 15.8 points and 7.5 rebounds. After fighting the flu last week, Trapani started in a 82-77 win over Providence and scored 19 points and had eight rebounds in 34 minutes.

Skinner said a decision on Trapani's status will "probably be on Wednesday."
