ADRIAN -- The last time Chelsea High School tailback Nick Hill played at Maple Stadium, he burned Adrian for 310 rushing yards.

Adrian was determined not to let that happen in their jam-packed stadium Friday night, and Chelsea didn't couldn't find another offensive spark until it was too late into a 30-20 Division 3 district championship loss.

"We said if they were going to beat us, they were going to have to do it through the air," Jacobs said. "We put one extra guy in the box to shut down Hill ... We didn't shut him down, he got his yards. But we contained him and made him earn every yard tonight."

Hill finished with 107 yards and a touchdown on 34 carries, never gaining more than 10 yards on an attempt.

Chelsea senior Dakota Cooley gave the Bulldogs a much needed spark when he took over at quarterback in the second half, his first significant time at the position this season, but a 27-6 halftime deficit was too much to overcome. (Rest of the story & photo gallery | Boxscore)
