Macy’s is a great place to shop, and has a wonderful philanthropic side. One of the ways they give back is by offering discounts, sales and events to raise money and awareness, and one of them is happening today. To support the National Go Red Movement, Macy’s is offering an additional 20% discount to anyone wearing red this week.

According to the American Heart Association, Go Red For Women celebrates the energy, passion and power of women to band together to wipe out heart disease and stroke. By simply wearing red today, we can bring awareness to their support of eliminating Heart Disease, the #1 killer of adult men and women.

Last month, facebookers everywhere disclosed their bra color in order to raise awareness for breast cancer. This week wearing red will bring awareness, and a discount to boot.

February 3rd to February 7th there are three ways to get extra savings during Wear Red Sale in stores:

1. Wear red. Customers visiting Macy’s wearing anything red can receive an extra 20% or 10% off most sale & clearance purchases throughout the store. 2. Purchase a Red Dress Pin. Customers not wearing red can purchase a Red Dress Pin for $2 and get the extra savings. Macy’s will donate all Red Dress Pin proceeds to American Heart Associa’s Go Red For Women movement. Macy’s is a proud national sponsor. 3. Use Your Macy’s Card. Even if you’re not wearing red, you can still receive an extra 15% or 10% off sale and clearance throughout the store.
