Christmas Clearance markdowns hit Ann Arbor area Target stores
Target knows how to throw a sale, and for New Year’s Eve, they did just that. Their Christmas merchandise was slashed to 75% off yesterday. The Christmas clearance is one that Target shoppers watch and wait for! The savings are mind-blowing and extend into many departments.
A friend called me this morning to wish me a happy new year, and let me know that she called Target already to confirm the news. I was not able to make it over to the store till late in the evening, but there was still a good selection of items to hunt through. Lots of ornaments and Christmassy home decor items. Plenty of stocking stuffers, food gifts and mixes.
As I was shopping, I saw shoppers whooping with glee over some of the prices they found, carts filled with decorations for next year, and a few stealthy moves to snag a great deal without looking too pushy.
I found toddler fleece pajamas by Nick and Nora for $3.74. I also got cookie mixes for $1 each, and what looked to be the last bag of Holiday Starbucks coffee for less than $4. Both will be consumed well before the use by date.
The rest of the store had some great markdowns worth sharing as well. A nice choice of shoes at 50% off, including some girl’s sizes marked down to $3.74. Loads of clothing on the sale racks as well, including the juniors puffy vests that were $15 now under $4.
Toys are also on clearance (some found online are already at 75%), and so is baby gear; a lightweight stroller was 50% off and others were marked down 30%.
If you have any holiday money left to spend, this is a great opportunity to stock up on all sorts of things you might have resisted buying at full price a week or so ago.
Rumor has it that the remaining Holiday items will reduced again - to 90% --on January 4.
