"This is a picture of my Oriental Shorthair kitten, Calcifer. He is now 6 months old. His favorite hobbies include nipping the blooms off my orchids and shoplifting the steel wool from the kitchen sink. His exotic looks belie his sweet nature. He has a very loud purr, and a VERY loud Siamese type voice. He immediately fell in love with my other Oriental, and you rarely see one without the other. He is the perfect kitten, and he will be a perfect cat. We live in Ypsilanti Township." by Judy Hall /calendar/photologue/photos/cache/Calcifer_fullsize.JPG

It's always fun to see what our readers' lives are like with their own pets and other animals, and there are always interesting stories to tell.
This week, you'll see all sorts of cute pets, including a Guinea pig who is waiting for the Easter Bunny, a puppy who likes to help with chores and a dog who is anxious for spring.
It's all in good fun!
Participating in our weekly photo blog is easy — simply email a photo of your pet to ppsa2mi@gmail.com any time for our weekly Pet Photo Friday feature.
Be sure to include the name of the animal(s), as well as their age and city or township of residence in your email. Photos should be 1,200 pixels wide and in .jpg format.
We put the week's photos into a slideshow, publish and promote each Friday here in the Pets section.
Lorrie Shaw leads the pets section for AnnArbor.com. You can follow her daily pet adventures on Twitter and subscribe to AnnArbor.com's email newsletters.
