"One Thanksgiving, Lassie Come Home was on tv and Tigger, our tv-watcher dog, was glued to the set during the entire story, ads and all. The chairs were set up for the company that came and had to work around him and he sat there and watched even after the story ended just to be sure he wouldn't miss anything. He loved Animal Planet, but he hated wildebeasts for some reason and would snap at the screen whenever they appeared. You would be amazed how often wildebeasts do show up on Animal Planet. My husband had to put a plastic guard across the opening in the built-in unit to keep him from biting the plasma screen. He was really a fun dog. We live in Dexter." by Elaine Owsley /calendar/photologue/photos/cache/Tigger_fullsize.jpg

"Moose, 11 year old Silkie Terrier who lives in Ann Arbor is with his favorite gal-neighbor ZsaZsa. ZsaZsa is saying, "follow me Moose, I'll show you where that mean cat is hiding and we'll trap him." Moose has been in love with ZsaZsa for many years--he will follow her anywhere, not realizing she is really, politely, trying to get away from him. It continues on and on, and we human owners enjoy watching them." by Suzann Roberts /calendar/photologue/photos/cache/moosezsazsa_fullsize.JPG

"My name is Georgie, I'm 8 years old and I live in Ann Arbor. I never go outside but enjoy sitting by the window and thinking about it....after all, that's what cats do." /calendar/photologue/photos/cache/Georgie_fullsize.JPG

It's always fun to see what our readers' lives are like with their own pets and other animals, and there are always interesting stories to tell.
This week, you'll see area dogs and cats doing what they do best — being themselves!
It's all in good fun!
Participating in our weekly photo blog is easy — simply email a photo of your pet to ppsa2mi@gmail.com any time for our weekly Pet Photo Friday feature.
Be sure to include the name of the animal(s), as well as their age and city or township of residence in your email. Photos should be 1,200 pixels wide and in .jpg format.
We put the week's photos into a slideshow, publish and promote each Friday here in the Pets section.
