Meet JR - AnnArbor.com's Pet of the Week

JR is a Jack Russell Terrier that was found as a stray with no identification. It's always so sad to find a dog that has no collar, no tags, and no microchip I.D., all which could have helped us reunite JR with his family. Now JR is at the Humane Society of Huron Valley hoping for a second chance to find a caring home.

JR is about two years old. He has limitless energy, and would be happy to go, and go, and go. He may be cute as a button, but his family will need to understand that JR likes activity. He needs a lot of exercise and yes, he will also need some training.

JR is a happy, bold, energetic dog who is intelligent and assertive. He will find a way out of your yard if you leave him alone too long. His antics will continually amuse you, his intelligence seems to know no bounds, and his assertive nature and boundless energy can at times be overwhelming. That's why JR would do best in a home where children are older, at least over 10 years old. It would also be nice if the family that adopts JR is familiar with the Jack Russell breed.

To find out more about JR, call 734-662-5585, or visit HSHV daily from noon to 6 pm.
