Meet Ann Arbor.com's Pet-of-the-Week - Rascal
Rascal is a 2 1/2 year old lap cat that needs a new home

Rascal was adopted as a kitten from the Humane Society of Huron Valley two and a half years ago. Unfortunately when someone in his home developed allergies, Rascal was returned. He took all this is stride even though the only family he knew was gone. He really is a "glass half full" kind of cat.
Rascal is a laid back guy who also happens to be superbly handsome! His blue eyes are the color of Lake Tahoe - seriously, they are. The photo does not do them justice.
Have you heard of an apple head Siamese? That is what Rascal is called. That means he has a more rounded face that, years ago, was the preferred shape. Of course Rascal could care less about what is preferred - he just knows that he likes to be petted (see his video).
This is a cat that likes to meet new people and seems quite comfortable with other cats in his life as well. In fact, he came in with another cat, Moxie, who didn't want to share a cage with him, which Rascal, again, took in stride. He is not phased by much. Life is a joy to him, and he just needs a lap and someone to love him, and then his life would be perfect!
Rascal is in one of our community cat rooms and is usually curled up in the front window in a soft, warm bed. He likes people, other cats and chin rubs. If you want a laid back cat, he wants to let you know he's the cat for you.
HSHV is open daily from noon to 6 p.m. for adoptions. The Humane Society of Huron Valley has a full service, low cost, veterinary clinic that is open to the public.
