Ypsilanti Township man dies after motorcycle crash

Police have released the name of the Ypsilanti Township man who died Sept. 9 after the motorcycle he was driving crashed into a broken down tractor-trailer in Van Buren Township, the Belleville View reported.

Jeffery Jordan, 42, was pronounced dead shortly after being transported to St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor.

The crash occurred around 1:35 p.m. on Rawsonville Road north of West Huron River Drive, according to the Belleville View.

According to the report the factors that may have led to the crash still are under investigation.

I'm with Clownfish. I want to know if he was wearing a helmet and if no, would a helmet have made a difference?

We don't have any information regarding what happened here, no judgements possible. I'm very sorry for the ones who cared about this man, and the driver of the semi.
