Deandre Mitchell, 20, pleaded guilty last month to armed robbery in exchange for two other felonies to be dropped. On Thursday, Washtenaw County Trial Court Judge David Swartz sentenced him to between five and 20 years in state prison, officials told AnnArbor.com.
The woman accused of setting up the man to be allegedly robbed by Mitchell and Eddie Nailor also was in court Thursday.
Court records show Amber Davis appeared in Washtenaw County Trial Court Judge David Swartz’s court Thursday for a pretrial hearing. That hearing was adjourned until 1:30 p.m. Jan. 31, according to court records.
Davis is accused of working with Nailor and Mitchell on Sept. 14 to rob a man outside the Lakeshore Apartments. According to police, the man visited Davis in her apartment and then went to see a friend at a different apartment.
When the man got to the other apartment, Davis allegedly called the man back to her apartment. When he got outside, Nailor and Davis allegedly held him at gunpoint and robbed him of money.
Mitchell pleaded guilty to armed robbery in exchange for charges of conspiracy to commit armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony to be dropped. Nailor has decided against taking a plea deal and will face trial in January.
Davis is also charged with armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. If convicted, she faces a maximum sentence of life in prison.

I remember when those apartments used to be THE apartments in this area.It had it's own golf course , professional football and baseball players stayed there during the season.People with money went to live there ( I'm pretty sure some of it was condos) When the management company changed it went down the tubes.Although I think it has improved ( compared to a few years ago ) it's still a black eye in that part of the township

Crazy that some people think they can pull off a crime like this and just not get caught. And for what? A few hundred bucks tops? How far do you think that little extra money would really take you? Now sitting in prison for several years of your life.

How can you print an article full of details about a robbery without identifying the scene of the crime? That omission earns an "F" in Journalism 101.

romuloid: You're right, that's a major omission. I'm pretty sure I retroactively failed Journalism 200 for that one. I've added in the name of the complex, it was at the Lakeshore Apartments.

stevek....I've asked you several times about what you actually know about Ypsi township but you have never answered ( I wounder why ).Ypsi Twp and Ypsi is about 10 sq miles less than Ann Arbor ( this includes Ann Arbor Twp ) a criminal could walk for ever in the twp.About the only time I see you comment is when you insult or take a dig at Ypsi Twp facts or no facts.A few months ago you said a pair of criminals for Ann Arbor were raised in Ypsi Twp.When I asked you where you got your info , per usual you did not reply. So I'm gonna try one more time. What do you actually know about Ypsi Twp ? I wouldn't be surprised if I get deleted as it seems A2.com has a policy of allowing any and all insults towards Ypsi but not allowing somebody to ask someone to back up their claims
