Air conditioner taken from vacant home

A window air conditioner was taken from an Ypsilanti house, according to the Ypsilanti Police Department.

At an unknown time Friday, the suspect reportedly broke into a vacant home on the 600 block of Congress Street, in Ypsilanti, and removed the unit from the house. There are no suspects at this time.

The incident is still under investigation.

While I don't condone stealing, with the weather of the past week this is not that surprising. Now that it's cooled off and the humidity has dropped maybe they will have an attack of conscience and put it back. But then again maybe not

when you say vacant home do you mean the house is unoccupied as in no one lives there? Or do you mean vacant as in the residents were gone at the time?
