23-year-old shot multiple times after fight with 2 men
Ypsilanti police found a shooting victim lying in the street after they were called to the area of Harriet and South Washington streets at about 9:45 p.m. Monday.
Officers said the victim - a 23-year-old Ypsilanti man - suffered multiple gunshots, with wounds to his torso, arm and leg.
He was shot following a dispute with two men, according to an incident summary. He didn't know the gunman, police said.
A news release indicates the victim was hospitalized in serious condition.
Police are now searching for the gunman, who left the scene in a green minivan with at least two others.
The suspect is described as a short, heavy-set black man between 20-30 who was wearing a striped shirt.
