Ypsilanti Township man and registered sex offender accused of sexually assaulting two girls younger than 13

An Ypsilanti Township man and registered sex offender is now accused of sexually assaulting two girls younger than 13.

According to court records, Clinton Leath, 46, is charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct against a person younger than 13, a felony offense carrying a maximum penalty of life in prison; two counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct against a person younger than 13, a felony offense carrying a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison; one count of second-degree criminal sexual conduct assault against a person younger than 13, a felony offense carrying a maximum penalty of 5 years in prison.

The alleged crimes occurred from January 2000 to June 2010 in Washtenaw County, according to court records.

Leath, also known as Clinton Francois, is to appear back in court for a preliminary hearing March 23, according to court records.

The Michigan Public Sex Offender Registry shows Leath was convicted in 1993 in Washtenaw County of third-degree criminal sexual conduct and registered as a sex offender in 1995.

Leath is being held at the Washtenaw County Jail on a $150,000 cash surety bond. An official at the jail said today, Leath also has a sexual assault case pending against him out of Romulus.

I cant believe we have that many sick people I am not allowed to say how i feal BUT THROW AWAY THE KEY " maximum penalty of life in prison" Still not long enough

Throw the book at him, lock him up, (for life). No pity here for his offender. My heart does hurt for the girls, hope they are doing well.
