THIS WEEK IN LOCAL EDUCATION: Ypsilanti school board to discuss contract with new superintendent
Get prepared for plenty of meetings in Washtenaw County school districts this week as students start their first full week of school.
Perhaps the most important meeting of the week will happen tonight in Ypsilanti, where the school board is slated to approve a contract with its new superintendent, Dedrick Martin.
Also on the agenda for the 7 p.m. meeting in the board room in the high school is a report on restructuring at the high school.
Other meetings this week include:
- Chelsea, 7 p.m. tonight. The board will meet at Beach Middle School and hear a report on the Early College Alliance.
- Lincoln, 7 p.m. tonight. The board will meet in the community center at Brick Elementary School. Among the agenda items is a discussion on biology textbooks.
- Willow Run, 6:30 p.m. Thursday. The board will gather in its meeting place in the high school.
- Ann Arbor school board’s performance committee, 6 p.m. Thursday. The agenda wasn’t available this morning.
