I notice annarbor.com fails to mention that Higgins works outside the city as well while noting that Jack does.

Side note: if they have cut staff and adjusted their budget and are still doing the same amount of work, it kind of looks like they didn't need all that extra staffing inn the first place and it was more government waste.

I am tired of them raising my taxes because they have a "decreased" tax base, and now they have to cut staff and benefits. Join the rest of the working class and eliminate the pensions these career politicians get. Let them have 401k's like the rest of us. When they cut their pensions out of the budget then, maybe they can ask for a millage hike.

Ypsilanti? Vote yes on these mileages. Brenda has made sure there has not been one in a long time but with the struggling economy they really need the help.

Thank you for putting this material in a convenient format. It makes a difference to have all the articles gathered on a single page. A2Politico offers some additional information on the races. http://www.a2politico.com/category/politics/elections/ The AnnArborChronicle.com has several articles as well.

Anybody have any predictions for the 3rd and 4th Ward council races in Ann Arbor?

The turnout will be low, so anything could happen. I see Eaton in a squeaker over Higgins, but I'm probably basing that more on the number of yard signs I've seen for each candidate than the reality of voter sentiment.

I predict Democratic victories in both wards ;)

Jack Eaton will beat Marcia Higgins with about 55% of the vote. The Kunselman/Grand race will be a toss-up.
