Woman pushed to ground, robbed of cell phone in stairwell of Hatcher Graduate Library
University of Michigan police are looking for a man who pushed a female student to the floor in a stairwell in the Hatcher Graduate Library Monday evening and took her iPhone, according to a crime alert from Department of Public Safety.
The man, who was wearing glasses and a beige sweater or vest, fled up the stairs in the library at 920 N. University Ave. The incident occurred about 6:45 p.m.
The robber was described as black, 6 feet 1 inches tall and about 25 years old.

"Strong arm robbery charge worth it for a cell phone? Give me a break." Of course it is, when the individual's needs supercede concern of the victim or consequences from the law, why not? From their perspective that is more than a logical choice. The ONLY factor in this equation per the criminals themselves, that merits their concern is the ability of the victim to meet force with (greater) force. 1*
