Wind advisory in effect for Monday, while rain could make some roads slippery

The NWS office in White Lake Township said rain was expected throughout southeast and central Michigan starting this evening, with temperatures in the mid to upper 30s.

"While air temperature will be above freezing… ground temperature could still be cold enough for the rain to produce slick conditions on secondary roads or rural unpaved roads that still have snow cover," it reads, in part.

The statement applied to Washtenaw, Wayne, Oakland, Livingston and Lenawee counties, among others.

A wind advisory was in effect from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday, with sustained winds of 25 to 30 mph and gusts reaching 50 mph. It said the strongest winds were likely in the afternoon and early evening.
