Whitmore Lake High School Top Scholars

Whitmore Lake High School held its 2012 graduation ceremonies Sunday, June 3, 2 p.m. in the high school's gymnasium. The class included 95 graduates.

Nicole Lidak
Parents: Susan and Scott Lidak
Activities and Awards: Nicole has been a member of Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) for four years, as well as playing in the school concert, marching, and pep band throughout high school. Nicole also spent three years on the Quiz Bowl team, playing at both the varsity and junior varsity levels. She has also proudly been a member of National Honor Society since her sophomore year.
Plans After Graduation: Nicole plans to attend Washtenaw Community College and then go on to study either Psychology or Medicine.

Ronald Milbocker II
Parents: Ronald and Lori Milbocker
Activities and Awards: Ron was the Student Council President and a member of the National Honor Society. He was a four-year member of the boys varsity cross country and track and field teams. He was voted captain of the cross country and track teams his senior year. Ron was the Tri-County Conference Cross Country Champion his junior and senior years. He has volunteered his time packing meals for the homeless and assisting teachers after school.
Plans After Graduation: Ron will be attending Olivet Nazarene University, majoring in biology, and running cross country and track.

Jacob Rainey
Parents: Paul and Debra Rainey
Activities and Awards: Jacob was a representative of Student Council and secretary of National Honor Society. He also tutored in his high school's Homework Club his junior and senior year. He received a letter for academics.
Plans After Graduation: Jacob will be attending the University of Michigan in pursuit of a career of researching cures for diseases.






Samantha Weldon

Activities and Awards: Samantha's most personally important activity was being on the Equestrian Team for all four years of high school and earning spot as captain in her senior year. In addition, Samantha was a member of the National Honor Society. She has participated in S.A.D.D. for all four years of high school, elected treasurer for the last two years. Samantha has also been on the Quiz Bowl team for three years, moving up to Varsity during her senior year. She has written for the school newspaper and helped out the drama club in the light booth. She has taken all AP and honor courses available. Samantha has volunteered over 40 hours of community service and is actively involved in 4H and church.
Plans After Graduation: Samantha will be attending Washtenaw Community College for two years before transferring to a university for a degree in Graphic Design.
