University of Michigan among top ranked medical schools, ranking says
The University of Michigan's medical school is among the top 10 ranked grad school programs in the country, according to new rankings from U.S. News & World Report released today.

The school ranked 6th as a research medical school.
It placed behind Harvard University, the University of Pennsylvania, Johns Hopkins University, the University of California-San Francisco and Washington University in St. Louis.
It was placed in a tie with Duke University, the University of Washington in Seattle and Yale University.
It ranked 14th in the country for its primary care school. Michigan State University ranked 7th in the country for its program.
Among other U-M grad school programs ranked in the new report:
- U-M's business school ranked 12th in the nation.
- U-M's law school ranked 9th in the nation.
- U-M's engineering school ranked 8th in the nation.
