University of Michigan 19th on Kiplinger's list of 100 Best Values in Public Colleges

Michigan ranked 19th on the list for in-state students and 24th on the list for out-of-state students.
Ranking first for in-state students was the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. It ranked third for out-of-state students. First on the list for out-of-state students was the State University of New York at Binghamton,
Michigan State University was ranked 51st in state and 76th out of state.
The University of Wisconsin at Madison at No. 14 in state and 15 out of state was the highest ranking Big Ten school on the list.
The magazine said it based the rankings on a combination of academics and affordability.
