Men demand woman's purse in Pittsfield Township robbery

By Katrease Stafford

Police are investigating an unarmed robbery that occurred early Monday on Glencoe Hills Drive near Clark Road in Pittsfield Township.

A woman was walking north on Glencoe Hills Drive, south of Clark Road, at 6:30 a.m. when she was approached by two men in a mid-sized dark colored vehicle, according to a media release sent out by the Pittsfield Township police department.

The passenger exited the vehicle and approached the woman and demanded her purse, which she gave him. The passenger got back into the vehicle, leaving the area driving east on Clark Road.

The victim didn't suffer any injuries and no further information is available regarding the model of the vehicle, according to police.

The two suspects are described as men in their early 20s, of average height and weight. One suspect was seen wearing a white shirt. The other suspect may have a goatee, according to police.

Um, Katrease, I'll assume that you forgot to mention the race/color of the criminals by accident...it would be helpful in identifying them.

How about saying "the victim could not give police much information to identify the suspects"? I could draw a composite from the information given. A stick figure in a white tee-shirt and one with a goatee. Film at eleven.

well at least you kind of meta tagged it to pittsfield this time. not really, you added police at the end of the tag. why did you do that? ah well at least you're part way toward listing the events in pittsfield correctly with the tags at the end. you guys seem kinda selective about what you metatag and don't. the positive stories seem to get the pittsfield tag but the negative ones don't. kinda odd. The dark colored vehicle pictured in the teaser for this story appears to be a black SUV (possibly a Chevy Tahoe) and has the words "Piittsfield Police" written on at least one side. Hope that helps in catching them.

OK any two males in their 20's are on the loose, with a white t-shirt and the other with facial hair. I have two just like that across the street should I call?

"The two suspects are described as men in their early 20s, of average height and weight. One suspect was seen wearing a white shirt. The other suspect may have a goatee, according to police." Ethnicity of the suspects?

I remember when Glencoe Hills was considered a great place to live. So sad to hear about the frequent crime that takes place there now. Good luck tp anyone wanting to protect themselves from these perpetrators with that description.

Yes, that place just seems like a cesspool of crime now. There's always something bad happening there. And to be so close to the Sheriff's Department!
