A University of Michigan student was sexually assaulted in her North Campus residence hall on Monday morning, according to an alert posted by the Department of Public Safety.

The student told police she was assaulted in her room in the Baits 1 dormitory at about 11 a.m., according to the campus-wide alert.

The suspect is described as a "visiting acquaintance."

Police are trying to identify the man. He's described as a light-skinned black man in his 20s and with an average build.

No further details on the crime were released Monday evening. Anyone with information is asked to call U-M's police at (734) 763-1131.

Let's see if the campus police can handle this one correctly. At least it wasn't a football player (average build).

I don't understand what you are saying here. I understand "lex parsimoniae" (Occam's Razor) but am not clear how you are applying it to this reported crime.
