U-M police: Wisconsin man made advances toward 14-year-old girls

By Kyle Feldscher

University of Michigan police are warning the public to be on the lookout for a 69-year-old Wisconsin man who approached a group of 14-year-old girls and asked them if they wanted to leave with him.

The man is known to police and has been doing similar things in other southeastern Michigan communities, according to a security bulletin on the department’s website. The man reportedly approached a group of 14-year-old girls Thursday afternoon and started asking personal questions, the report stated.

He then called them “beautiful” and asked if they wanted to leave with him, according to the report.

No crime was committed and no charges are pending against the man, according to the report. However, the behavior was concerning, police said.

The man is white, about 5-feet-8 inches tall and weighs about 220 pounds. He has medium-length gray hair, a short gray beard and was driving a black 2004 Ford Explorer with a Wisconsin license plate.

Curiously enough I just had lunch with a woman who described being advanced upon and touched by a man of the same description at a gas station today.
