University of Michigan, Ohio State continue blood battle; more donors needed
With about two weeks to go until the University of Michigan vs. Ohio State University football game, supporters of the teams have been donating blood to help save lives as well as keep school rivalry alive.
The competition in the 29th Annual U-M vs. OSU Blood Battle so far has been "extremely close," according to a news release.
U-M's goal is to collect 2,500 pints of blood to potentially save more than 7,500 lives, before the competition ends Friday.
Following is a list of upcoming blood drives on the U-M campus:
Monday: • Hillel — 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. • Michigan Union Ballroom — 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. • Stockwell Hall Grand Lounge — 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Tuesday: • Michigan Union Ballroom — 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. • South Quad AA Lounge — 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Wednesday: • Pierpont Commons — 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. • Michigan Union Ballroom — 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Thursday: • Biomedical Science Research Building — 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. • Michigan Union - Ballroom — 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. • Mosher Jordan Hall - Jordan Lounge — 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. • Michigan Union - Ballroom — 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. • East Quad - Greene Room — 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Anyone who attempts to donate blood will be entered to win two tickets to the game Nov. 27 in Columbus. Blood drives in residence halls are available only to residents.
