Two multimillion dollar University of Michigan dormitory renovation projects ready for bids
"We're ready to go." That's the assessment of University of Michigan's Chief Financial Officer Timothy Slottow on $155 million in imminent dormitory construction.

But Slottow said he is ready to put the multimillion dollar projects to bid now. The University of Michigan Board of Regents met Thursday and approved Slottow's request unanimously.
Regents approved the schematic design for Lawyers Club renovations in December. The upgrade will bring air conditioning to the 1920s-era dormitory and create additional community spaces for student residents.
East Quadrangle, which houses roughly 860 students and the university's Residential College program, also will undergo a significant mechanical, electrical and aesthetic renovation. The design for that project was approved in November.

Awesome - 90 year old buildings getting needed updates, leveraging a slow economy, putting people to work, a win-win.
