I think t-boned means that the car that was hit in the side, in a bird's eye view, now resembles a t-bone steak... Why does everything have to be sexual or sexist? Let's get our heads out of the gutter and use some common sense and intelligent observation!!

I'm with millermaple. This is the second time I've seen that term used in an A2.com story. The last time was in a story involving a fatality and it was jarring. It's a casual term and I think it sounds less professional.

Belgium - I don't think anyone finds the word sexist unless it is used in a sexist way like you just did.

"Broadside" was deemed too sexist by the PC police and has been banned from use. Plus, too many women didn't like it when they wrecked their car and had to tell their hubby that they "mesided" another car.

"T-bone collisions" I've been hearing the term for a few years and really dislike it. We used to say "broadsided" way back in ancient times!

@bellhelmet It's when the front of a car hits the side of another forming a T with both cars

T boned is a front end collision into the side of the other car--hence a T shape. Maybe the Toyota tried to stop but couldn't.

Ban cars!!! They're obviously too dangerous for average people to have!
