Eastbound M-14 was closed near the Barton Drive exit for over an hour this afternoon due to a two-vehicle auto crash.

Two vehicles collided on eastbound M-14 between Barton Drive and the west "triple decker" interchange with US-23 around 12:15 p.m., Ann Arbor Township Fire Department Lt. Ed Mantay said. No injuries were reported.

The freeway had to be closed due to debris all across the road surface and the two disabled vehicles, Mantay said. At around 1:30 p.m. the freeway was still closed but was expected to reopen at any time.

Michigan State Police is handling the investigation, but MSP officials could not be reached; further details, including the cause of the crash, were not available.

Update: By midafternoon, the Google Traffic map for Ann Arbor showed traffic flowing freely through the area.
