Tornado watch issued for 13 southeast Michigan counties, including Washtenaw
A tornado watch is in effect for 13 southeast Michigan counties, including Washtenaw, until 3 a.m. Tuesday, the National Weather Service has announced.
There is a chance of thunderstorms this evening, with a slight chance of severe weather developing. Damaging wind gusts up to 70 mph, an isolated tornado and hail one inch in diameter are all possible if severe thunderstorms materialize between 7 p.m. and midnight Monday.
The storm is expected to move northeast at 45 mph.
