It's official: Today's flakes make this month the 3rd snowiest in Ann Arbor area's history
Friday morning's 2.2-inch snowfall makes this the third snowiest February on record in Ann Arbor.
So far this month, the Ann Arbor area has received 27.2 inches of snow, University of Michigan weather observer Dennis Kahlbaum said.
Currently in second place is February 1908 with 27.4 inches. Last year holds the record for the month with 33.1 inches
For the season to date, the Ann Arbor area has received 58.6 inches, making it the eighth snowiest on record. The snowiest winter since record-keeping began in 1880 was 2008, which had 89.8 inches, Kahlbaum said.
Saturday's forecast calls for snow mainly after 10 a.m. with accumulations of 1 to 2 inches possible. Saturday night could bring more snow with less than an inch of additional accumulation.
For updated forecasts throughout the day, check AnnArbor.com's weather page.

To the naysayers of global warming, the big energy companies, especially Exxon are the ones funding the junkscience and other anti-scientific global warming sceptics. One does not need to be a genius to figure out why they are doing this.

Quote: "Ice ages have always occurred. It is part of the earths [sic] cycle, get used to it." Ice ages have been occurring along with killer heat ages for hundreds of millions of years. But the scientific examinations of these phenomena show that there's NO way any of them was caused by human activity. So it's disingenuous to suggest that ANY climate fluctuation TODAY which IS proven to be due to human activity is "okay." Each time we have an abnormal fluctuation in weather, humans have to cope and we've found it's pretty expensive both collectively and individually. Our public services like snow clearing are strained (as they are now), first responders are hindered in reaching emergencies, costing real human lives. What would Ann Arbor do if we found ourselves suddenly located where Norfolk Virginia is tomorrow? There, increased sea level (while only a few inches higher than in the past) is literally inundating whole neighborhoods with tide water. Those homes will be permanently lost soon, even though the city literally raised them and the streets by 18 inches at considerable cost. Coping with a human-caused change in the whole climate is simply beyond our means - so why dismiss it??!!

Global Warming / Climate change has been proven to be fraudulent??? According to who?! More polar bears? - Who says? More food not less? - Who says so? A few people living in outlying Saline, Dexter and Superior Twp. may have bought the bogus political propaganda directed against the overwhelming agreement of climate science and scientists. But no one who's actually looking at that agreement thinks the Republicans are sources of accurate scientific knowledge, no more than they've been a source for legitimate government office holders or government policy (other than those policies absolving massive fraud by corporate execs). Snowy Februarys: Yep, this one's a doozy when it comes to "extra snow." Yeah, if you look at the jet stream pattern and the map of warm and cold fronts, you see that the scientific explanation fits with global warming. A continent-size mass of warmer than normal air in the Arctic (record setting in size, height and persistence) has redirected Arctic cold to the lower latitudes (which includes 42.3 North Latitude where we're at). The cold air collides with warm air coming up from the Gulf of Mexico: bingo, we have around double the amount of snow fall. Warm air up north, cold air down south: get it?

Global warming. For all the Al Gore haters out there. Is your Nobel Prize on the mantel or did you maybe not get one because of your failure to understand what the nation's top scientists have proven?

Al Gore actually blamed the extreme cold and record snow fall on global warming. He actually said that. When the weather is hot, it is man-made global warming. When the weather is cold, it is man-made global warming. They can't lose. You notice that they started calling it "climate change" because they knew, years ago, that the global temperatures were falling. Warmists should be very happy the earth is cooling. They don't have to worry about 20 feet sea level rises from melting glaciers as Al Gore predicted. What a scam to rip people off. Whenever politicians and media hype something, be very suspicious. They always want money and control.

"There will be more hurricanes because of global warming!" There were fewer hurricanes. "Fewer hurricanes is proof of global warming!" "There will be less food for the Earth because of global warming!" There isn't less food. "The absence of a food shortage is proof of global warming!" "There will be fewer polar bears because of global warming!" There are more polar bears. "The increase in polar bears is proof of global warming!" Next on the agenda of the alarmists: "The drift the magnetic poles is proof of global warming!"

Just because I know this, like previous articles, bring about a whole conversation about global warming, I share the following webcomic: http://bradcolbow.com/archive/view/the_brads_more_snow/#When:01:28:28Z

Great comment and link! I too was expecting a barrage of uninformed comments about global warming. I guess they haven't read the article yet.
