Fire causes $15,000 damage to Superior Township home
Superior Township firefighters respond to a call in Dixboro after reports of smoke coming from the home's eaves and chimney.

Firefighters from Superior Township saved a Dixboro home this afternoon following reports of smoke coming from the home’s eaves and chimney.
Captain Shaun Bach said firefighters responded to the home in the 3000 block of Oak Drive around 1:40 p.m. within 10 minutes of receiving the call.
Bach said the home’s three adult occupants and dogs had evacuated by the time firefighters arrived. He said there were no injuries.
Firefighters found fire in the walls behind the fireplace, Bach said. The fire was extinguished within 20 minutes.Â
Bach said there was minimal damage to the home and estimated it at around $15,000.
He said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
