Superheroes Spiderman, Superman, Ironman, Captain America and the Hulk scaled down the side of the C.S. Mott Children's Hospital building to bring a little cheer and wash some windows while they were at it.
This was the first time the University of Michigan contractors donned the crime-fighting duds for their window washing duties at the hospital.

Heard of this in other cities and glad it caught on here. My hat is off to those workers 1) for wanting to remain anonymous to keep it "all about the kids" and 2) for going above and beyond in their jobs for the greater good. More feel good stories like this A2.com please! They are out there!

Now... if you could only have Stan Lee come and pay a visit as well....

Well, that'll bring tears to your eyes. What an amazing thing for these gentlemen to do. I appreciate that they are not doing this for publicity for their company but certainly hope some good karma is headed their way...

Just a little background: This is the same crew that typically does window washing for the hospitals -- but this time, at the request of UMHS, they dressed up like super heroes. They declined to give their real names or their company's name because they wanted it to be about the children, not themselves. They'll try to dress up like super heroes this week as they continue to work on Mott's windows.

I wish my work would request that I do something like this! I want to be Wonder Woman.

That is so cute!! It made me smile just picturing it, so I'm sure it was a huge thrill for those little kids stuck in a hospital bed. Great example of a (relatively) small effort having a big impact....and sick little kids certainly are deserving of as many thrills and smiles as possible.

Not only were the patients and staff thrilled, but I'm pretty sure the superhero crew enjoyed themselves as well!

I'd say these window washers are indeed Superheroes .
