Detroit Free Press: Students from U-M, EMU sign up for 'sugar daddies' to help pay for college

According to the Free Press, 80 students from University of Michigan have signed up for the service, 84 from Eastern Michigan University and 108 from Michigan State University. That's an increase from sign-ups last year.

The website, SeekingArrangement.com, pairs 'sugar babies,' or students with an .edu email address, with paid companions, or 'sugar daddies.'

“College should be an opportunity to expand the mind and experience new things,” founder Brandon Wade said in a press release, according to the Free Press. “While some may argue that these women are just using men for their own personal gain, I believe that they are proactive in pursuing a higher education.”
