South Maple Road intersection work to begin Monday on Lodi-Pittsfield township border
Periodic lane closures will start Monday on South Maple Road south of West Ellsworth Road on the border of Lodi and Pittsfield townships as a construction project begins.
The Washtenaw County Road Commission will begin work to widen the two-lane road at the intersection of Woodview Lane to add a center turn lane in to the subdivision.
At some points, the shoulders of Maple Road will be closed and at other points full lane closures will be in effect. The Road Commission is advising drivers avoid the area while the work is underway.
The project is expected to last two to three weeks.

Flashers on the barrels woudl help - there are no street lights and the barrels are all over the place - who ever put them out to make lanes must have been drunk - it is almost unpassable
