One photo shows a deer in a cemetery; I'm guessing it's Forest Hill Cemetery. When I got a Windows 7 laptop last summer, it came with its own gallery of wallpaper. The fall harvest pictures were never offered on my previous laptop, just trees in the fall. So I think the photo of squash harvested in Dexter is very appropriate; I've been buying butternut for two weeks in a row now that it's in season, and making different soups with it.

squash is great Ann.A man at work brings them from his garden and passes them out.Awesome.A garden is a little miracle growing from a seed or seedling to edible goodness.

Fall's the best time to be in Michigan; but you KNOW what it's leading to!

Instead of a bee hive in that tree, it is a paper wasp nest.

Probably a bald-faced hornet nest. Paper wasp nests are small, not enclosed, and on a stalk, and made by a single female. Bald-faced hornet nests are much bigger, enclosed, and made by many hornets. Thanks to all those who shot these photos. I often look at the beauty of Autumn and think what a pretty photo it would make, but I don't have my camera with me.
