What a wonderful event! My son and his friend Mitch are shown on the 4th slide (Mitch is the bowling pin and Kolan is the ball). Kolan has been a Special Olympian for over 20 years. He is a confident man, that holds a full time job at Busch's and is an accomplished bowler. Special Olympics helped by building his self esteem, reinforcing his self confidence, and making him feel like a star. Thank you U of M for partnering with Special Olympics Michigan to help raise money to support the many activities that benefit our intellectually challenged citizens.

Great event... Another great benefit was that there were no streets closed throughout town. 300 is a lot less than 5000 but I'm sure the funds raised are all going to legitimate not for profit organizations. The Athletic Dept has been very tactful in explaining why they decided to terminate their deal with the BHBR. Some of the followup stories aluded to some questionalble practices of the race organizers..but by then the Hate Brandon program was up and running.
