Saline plans a new music series called Music Under the Arch the third Thursday of the month at 8 p.m. through May at Stone Arch Arts and Events.

The first concert is scheduled for Feb. 17 and features Samantha Sevick, a local singer/songwriter. Also expected to appear are Billy Brandt and Sarana Verlin from Detroit, who sing a style of music they call Celticana, blending rock, pop, folk and alternative country.

In addition, a series of art exhibits will run in conjunction with the concerts. The first exhibit is titled "Modern Michigan Americana," and will be on display from Feb. 11-March 5. It will feature two Michigan folk artists: Kat Campau, a quilt and fiber artist, and Irene Gates, a multi-media collage and sculpture artist.

Each concert will feature an opening act of local musicians and a noted headliner, according to a press release.

Ticket prices range from $10 for student seats to $20 reserved seats. Stone Arch Arts and Events is located at 117 S. Ann Arbor St.
