Apartment complex proposed for Saline's former department of public works
Livonia Builders proposed the purchase of Saline’s former department of public works to turn it into an apartment complex, according to a Saline Reporter report.
On Monday, in a work meeting the Saline City Council , officials discussed the company’s plan to build a complex containing between 50 and 70 two- to three-bedroom apartments. The site is at 600 Maple St.
Danny Veri, co-owner of the company, said he anticipates the complex would be complete in two years if the project is approved, the Saline Reporter says.

I'm glad to see this. It takes an unused government lot and makes it taxable, plus the jobs to build and maintain it. The site is pretty good with a bit of a hike to the High School.

"High end" What ever happened to affordable housing? 6 trails is somewhat affordable for being Saline but it's impossible to find an available apartment. The 2 on Clark that look like 1 big complex are run down and look rat infested. Then there's Midas Touch...can't really speak about those. And then the income based. I see the choices for a single mother are slim...thanks Saline....

It would be lovely to have new apartments in Saline. The few here are very old and outdated on the inside. (Take my peach tub and scratched up old toilet for instance.)
