Eric Diroff to leave Saline High School for head principal position in Tawas

By Danielle Arndt

Saline High School Assistant Principal Eric Diroff has taken a new head principal’s position after nine years as assistant principal at Saline, Patch.com reported.

Diroff served as the interim head principal from December 2011 until Saline hired Julie Helber, former assistant superintendent of Milan Area Schools, in May to be the next high school principal.

He will become the head principal of Tawas Area High School in the fall.

I had Mr. Diroff as a teacher at Monroe High when he taught the Radio Broadcasting Class (WEJY). I wish him luck as the new principal of Tawas Area H.S.!

good for him but why didn't he get the big job in Saline when it was available?

Because he isn't part of the "good ol' boys club" that runs this district, and/or he didn't graduate from Saline High with the superintendent.

I had never heard of Tawas, so I looked it up. Figuring others may have the same question, it is North of Bay City on the coast, right by start of Saginaw Bay on Lake Huron.
