Police are investigating an alleged assault at the Faurecia plant in Saline Tuesday morning.

Sgt. Jay Basso of the Saline Police Department confirmed that the incident was a confrontation between an employee at the former ACH plant and a human resources representative in which the employee is accused of punching the HR representative in the face.

The plant has been a flashpoint for employee frustrations as many former Automotive Components Holdings (ACH) workers allege they have been treated poorly and put into limbo after Faurecia took over the plant in June.

Basso said that no arrests have been made and that police have not yet been able to make contact with the person of interest in the case.
