Power outage affecting more than 500 customers southeast of Ann Arbor
Update: Power was restored to the affected area about 1:20 p.m., DTE spokesman John Austerberry said.
A power outage is affecting more than 500 customers of DTE Energy southeast of Ann Arbor.
The power has been off since about 2:30 a.m., according to the DTE outage map and is expected to be restored by 12:30 p.m.
The outage, affecting 541 customers, was caused by a tree across a power line, said spokesman John Austerberry. He said the outage originally affected about 2,200 customers, but power has been restored for most.
The area affected is east of US-23.

I'm west of U.S. 23 and had an outage here. What caused that one? Also, I do want Annarbor.com to tell me when my power goes out. DTE just gives a recorded message and I don't know the extent of the outage or the cause. Thanks to all the crews, though.

Usually I don't stick up for annarbor.com, but I don't need them to tell me when my power is out, and if it was, I would probably call DTE to tell them that my power was out.

our power just came back on... so many thanks to DTE 's multiple crews and davis tree service for getting on this ( at least part of the problem was a huge oak tree that fell across some power lines).

Didn't see anything from annarbor.com regarding the power outage yesterday for the NE section of Ann Arbor. Power was out to most customers for almost 12 hours.
